About Me
I like people. I like useful. I like simple. Not always in that order!
When asked that daunting question of "what do you want to do when you grow up?" I never had a precise answer, but I knew that it was going to be something that helped people in some way. Stumbling upon user experience was a happy accident. But it fit the bill perfectly: in this field, I would have the opportunity to leverage technology and put people first, to help them more easily accomplish tasks and access the information they need. In 2012, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington's Department of Human Centered Design and Engineering.
I've since stepped into the professional world. After seeing how important user experience was to successful product design, I decided to double down: in March 2018, I graduated with my Master's degree, again in Human Centered Design and Engineering.
Through my studies and professional experience, I have internalized the philosophy that successful products, whether high tech or low tech, should be designed with their users in mind. More than just pushing pixels or making things pretty, user experience is essential for making informed business and technology decisions.
